For those who live in Northeast Ohio and can spell "golf", Gary Trivisonno needs no introduction. His stellar play has earned him top recognition in the PGA, in addition to an enviable position as the Golf Pro at the Aurora Country Club. On January 1, 2005, Gary brought his talents to Strongsville as the new owner of Strongsville Golf, the local driving range founded in the early 1970s. We toured Strongsville Golf recently, and listened as Gary spoke of the facility's many upgrades this year and of his love for golf;
Strongsville Golf is a full-service entertainment center dedicated to serving the needs of Northeast Ohio's golfers. We have a beautiful driving range, indoor simulators, and putt-putt. We're beginning to stock golf related merchandise, including golf balls, gloves, clubs, and a re-gripping service. Don't be afraid to ask for special orders. Our motto is, "if we don't have it, we can get it!" Our facility is perfect for practicing your swing year round, relaxing with your family over a friendly game of putt-putt, and as wonderful location for picnics and casual social gatherings.
Our indoor simulators are very realistic and feature over twenty-five courses from across the country. The play is very realistic, and it's great to be able "hit the links" regardless of the weather outside. We host leagues in the evenings, and we have regular play, also. The simulators have been such a hit that we recommend you call for tee times so you don't have to wait.
The outdoor driving range has been upgraded with brand new, high quality range balls, and has 30 matted stations, in addition to a large grass area. We've upgraded the putt-putt course this year with new carpeting, windmills, painting, and landscaping to provide an enjoyable experience for families, kids, couples, and seniors. We're working hard to improve the entire facility, and to build an atmosphere that families find comfortable. We have a Honey Hut opening soon out front, and we're going to be adding picnic tables as soon as the weather breaks. We also have a very nice indoor area in the back that's ideal for birthday parties. It has a comfortable sitting area, and you can go out and play putt-putt, and then, come back inside for ice cream and cake.
I've been Player of the Year in our Northern Ohio PGA section seven times, and I'm the head Golf Pro at the Aurora Country Club. I will be offering golf lessons, as will Russ Jeske, my partner on WTAM 1100 on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00.
